Life is like a solar system

Imagine you are a Sun. Orbiting around you like planets are your relationships. Each relationship that orbits around you is a planet for you. But don’t forget that for them, when you reverse the process, each of those relationships is a sun as well and you become a planet for them. All for one, one for all!!!

Sharing Space

We are always in situations when we share space with others.. Sharing space is a form of communication and one that deserves an emphasis in the true meaning of sharing. What I may think sharing is, may not match what an another person's belief about sharing is.. So what is the true meaning of sharing? I often try to equate it to proportion. Proportion: Pro-por-tion: To arrange the parts of whole, so as to be harmonious. We share space with our families, friends, co-workers,communities,cities, countries, continents and ultimately with The Earth. Sharing starts with one self. If we learn to be good to ourselves emotionally, mentally and physically then we can share with others in a healthy way because we know what the meaning of being good is..In this day and age most people have information about what is healthy and what is not. Balance is always important, proportion. In sharing one can be alone and with company at the same time. One does not have to be totally alone to have peace and one does not have to be always in company not to feel alone. Creating healthy boundaries is important when learning how to share. Boundaries create infrastructure. There is a difference between a boundary and a limitation. Limitations create a feeling of resistance and/or invasion. A boundary provides a defined line that prevents invasion or isolation. How many times do we invade ourselves when we feel invaded? How many times do we isolate ourselves when we feel overwhelmed? Learning how to create proper boundaries through communicating our needs and finding ways to create balance in our lives is the key to harmony. We all deserve to belong and most importantly we all deserve to FEEL we belong...

Conversations with ourselves

Lately I meet more an more people who are having conversations with themselves. As people, I observe that we are always having a conversation. Even when we are sleeping our head is still conversing unbeknown to us, our bodies are still making sound. Are we ever silent? Does silence in a natural environment or state exists? I know we can create chambers that provide total silence, but even a deaf person that cannot hear hears, even in that chamber that provides total silence our heart is still beating, our blood is still circulating our breath can be heard.. So, do you know what silence is? I don't and I am not sure I would like to know. Perhaps out of curiosity but for a few minutes. Total silence would mean lack of life to me. If I were in total absolute silence my brain would not be working,my blood would not be running through my veins and my heart would not be beating. Many people long for silence. I feel we long for Peace..peace of heart. I peaceful heart provides space for a peaceful mind. A peaceful heart and mind provide space for a peaceful body. A peaceful heart, mind and body provide space for a harmonious life. Sound is a vital part of human life. We may think that we are longing for silence, I believe that we are longing for PEACE....

The Ten Commitments

Most of us have heard about the Ten Commandments and where they originated from.
The Ten Commandments, or Decalogue, are a list of religious and moral imperatives that, according to the Hebrew Bible, were spoken by God (referred to in several names) to the people of Israel from the mountain referred to as Mount Sinai [2] or Horeb,[3] and later authored by God and given to Moses in the form of two stone tablets. They are recognized as a moral foundation in Judaism, Christianity and Islam.[4]
I prefer to call them the Ten Commitments as Neil Donald Wash refers to in his book Conversations with God #1.
1-I am the Lord your God
Most people believe in a higher intelligence or awareness
The first one leads to:
You shall have no other gods before me
Perhaps worshiping things is not the same as respecting each other as equal human beings. Are not we creations of Creation? Perhaps things or idols are not the same as real people.
You shall not make for yourself an idol
It seems to confirm what it suggests as these people came out of slavery and wanted to create a free space where they could get along as one and the same...

2-You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God
The second one suggests perhaps not to enforce our believes onto others. Live and let live. Perhaps we are meant to be of service and not servants.

3-Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy
Perhaps it suggests to take time to take care of ourselves, rest and spend time with friends and family. Enjoy the rewards of our creations. All OUR CREATIONS

4-Honor your father and mother
Perhaps our history is important good or bad. We may not understand our elders however we deserve to honor them because without them and our history as humans we would not be here...

5-You shall not murder
Pretty straight forward as a commitment from one human to another

6-You shall not commit adultery
Perhaps if we do not get along in a relationship or partnership or contracts, we can either work on it or move on? It is perhaps healthier than hiding..It is interesting how the 6th commitment is separated form the 9th"you shall not covet your neighbor's wife". It makes me ponder on the fact that maybe what it means is that adultery signifies ignoring our own wisdom. When we ignore our wisdom we are actually behaving like a child. So perhaps adultery does not just mean cheating on someone else at any level. Perhaps it starts with cheating our own selves...

7-You shall not steal
Perhaps we can learn to share so that no human lacks?

8-You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor
Perhaps we can respect other people's privacy?

9-You shall not covet your neighbor's wife
Perhaps we can be happy with our choices?

10-You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor
Perhaps we can appreciate what we have rather than envy what others have. Perhaps the only reason the grass is greener on the other side is because it is being worked on..
We can choose to consider these commitments as commandments or we can choose to consider them as agreements. I for one do not respond very well to a commandment. My entire being shivers and I rebel. I choose to consider them as agreements because they make sense and they teach consideration for each other as human beings.

Understanding

Relationships are about understanding. Understanding the art of communication in a constructive manner. Do we listen? Or do we preach? There is a fine line between the two. Sometimes all it takes is a bit of adjustment on all sides to get along and truly grow. Patience is important. Providing a safe space is important where we can feel safe to speak without feeling threaten. What do you think?

what does it take?

RElATIONSHIPS!! Is there ever a time when one can be at peace with our relationships? Does the mind ever stops worrying? Bhudists seem to have the answer. I do not know I am not a Bhudist. I am just a simple woman trying to do my best and working at communicating. Communication!! It seems so simple and yet not so simple. When I think I am being clear, there is always someone trying to convince you of the opposite. I am a therapist, Psychotherapist to be more specific. I am supposed to have it all figured out and maintain a balanced position. Yet I am still human, not a machine that has all figured out. I am good at listening and yet someone is always wanting to be listened more clearly. It seems to be predominant in personal relationships. Professionally I am very successful. I must say personally I am also very successful based on the feedback I get from most of my friends and loved ones. I understand that the world is diverse and we are always learning. Do you ever get tired of learning? Do you ever just want to be and relax? I do.
